Brenda Moody

Ms. Brenda Moody, age 62 of Carrollton, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 7, 2011 in Kennestone Hospital. Ms. Moody was born July 31, 1948 in Thomaston, GA the daughter of the late Robert and Fannie Louise Bass Ellington. She was a homemaker and a very active member of Midway Macedonia Church. She was a member of the Brookshire Life Group and part of the Hospitality Team at Midway. Ms. Moody loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandson. Survivors include her daughters Melinda Moody of Douglasville and Shelby Moody of Decatur; son-in-law, Charlie Moller of Douglasville; grandson, Chase William Moller of Douglasville; special friend and close companion, Milton Barber of Carrollton; sister, Edna Borders (Robert) of Byron, GA; sister, Barbara Bryant (Eddie) of Jefferson, GA; sister, Linda Ellington of Thomaston, GA; brother, Frank Ellington (Joyce) of Thomaston, GA; James Ellington (Bessie) of Thomaston, GA; sister in laws Trellis Ellington, Ramona Ellington both of Thomaston, GA; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Ms. Moody was preceded in death by her parents, as well as, her husband, Jerry William Moody; brothers, Gene Ellington, Preston Ellington, and Kenneth Ellington. Family will receive friends at J Collins Funeral Home (206 S Carroll Rd Villa Rica, Ga 30180) Tuesday May 10, 2011 from 5 until 8PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday May 11, 2011 at 11am from Midway Macedonia Church in Villa Rica (3915 Carrollton Villa Rica Hwy Villa Rica, GA 30180) with Pastor Todd Wright, Pastor Terry Wofford, and Pastor Dave Divine officiating. Immediately following the service, Ms. Moodyâ€™s church family invites family and friends to gather for lunch in The McGuire Hall at Midway Macedonia Church. Interment will follow in Rosehaven Cemetery in Douglasville with John Dyar, Frank Johnson, Bob Adams, Hal Aiken, Christian Newman, and Walt Sisson serving as pallbearers.
